I have a New Baby!!  Orion, the cutest little pearl and grey kitten I've ever seen!!  Dobie took to him right away, well at least when Dobie isn't trying to nap.  He wants nothing to do with Orion when he is sleeping.
Orion had been at his new home about an hour.
Dobie is trying decide if this is lunch or a toy!!

Beautiful blue eyes.

I was having trouble getting on the computer this morning.

Looking through some old pictures I found this and had to comment .
This was our trip within a trip. We all loaded up an the hottest day of the year and crammed into a van to go see Rick's Cafe and Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville in Negril, Jamaica. This is everyone except Nick and Brenda, who refused to leave the resort. Besides being the hottest I had ever been I'd never want to be any where else in this world than with these people. They have become family to me over the years and I don't know what we'd do without them. Love you all!!!

First Port..St. Barths Feb. 17, 2011

I learned early in our voyage that when you are in an inside stateroom you can sleep the day away and not even know it.  It took two days of this before I started leaving the room service card on the door to have breakfast delivered early so we would be woke up.  Our first port and I'm so excited I was almost first in line to get off the ship.  The weather had finally warmed up and we were starting to really enjoy ourself.   We had to tender to the island of St. Barths or St. Bartholomews so we had to wait in line to catch the little boats to the island.  I have always been so envious of parts of the world with warm climates.  I have a love of plants that would make me broke in no time and to be able to see these things I grow in pots and have to bring inside in the winter, growing outside, huge trees...

Waiting to tender to the island.

The tiered city of St.Barths was so beautiful and really clean.  We never did make it to the beach that day.
After walking all over looking for a post office.
It was my intentions to buy and mail a post card at every port, after walking all over the island looking for a post office David said we would buy post cards but he wasn't mailing any more.  The post cards cost about $1 each but it cost me about $2 each to mail them, AND they had to go to France before they went to the US.  We were gone two weeks and still got home before the first post card.

Sailing Date Feb. 14, 2011

We sailed out of Miami Port, us, Bill and Marty and Mike.  We all started out in the same line but soon lost everyone.  We had a meeting place as well as our cell phones, so it didn't take long for us all to meet back up.  The first thing we found was the grill station, they had burgers and dogs with all the fixings!!  We were starved since our continental breakfast consisted on pastries and champagne.  I skipped the champagne since this was my first cruise and did not want to get sea sick.  We wondered around the ship marveling at the Miami Sky Line off in the distance.

Here we go, and with the Miami Skyline in the background!

We spent the next two days at sea.

Our 2011 Caribbean Cruise

Feb. 11, 2011

We planned this vacation two years ago when we got an e-mail from Bill & Marty.  I was so excited because I had never been on a cruise before.

We flew down a few days before to sight see in the Miami, Hollywood area.  Neither or us had been that far south so we wanted to spend some time there before the cruise.  Our flight was an experience in itself.  The plane was so small that we weren't allowed to take any carry on luggage on,  We had to walk out on the tarmac to get on the plane.  There were two seats on one side and one row of seats on the other.  I was afraid we were going to be flying sideways.  But we made it safely.  I thought David was going to stroke out before we got there.  Miami Airport was another tale.  We had to walk forever to get to baggage claim and when we got there the attendant told us that our luggage was already gone.  What??  Two weeks vacation and no luggage???  We waited around and found someone else to ask and he told me that it hadn't even been send down yet.  Right outside the doors we got a taxi, gave him the address of the resort we were staying at and he said "No Problem, I know just where this is"  he got lost two times.  Cost us 60 dollars to get to the resort.

I know we were early but the guy at the front desk didn't have to be rude!!  We were paying prime rates because it was Valentines Day week end even though technically Valentines Day wasn't until Monday.  But he did allow us to leave all our luggage in his lobby and we went off exploring the beautiful city of Hollywood Florida.
Ahhh, beautiful white sand.
